NEW – Diana Did It First and Nobody Has Matched It Since

Princess Diana’s influence never really left, and you’re still living inside what she built. You follow people online who post workout clothes next to red carpet looks and tag the charity on the way out. You’ve seen it a thousand times. Diana did all of it first, and the difference is she wasn’t performing any of it.

Think about what it meant for one person to become more popular than the crown itself. Not through scandal, but through showing up where royals weren’t supposed to go. AIDS wards. War zones. A billiards hall in Toronto in jogging pants. The Royal Family saw it as a problem. Everyone else saw it as the only reason she was worth watching.

Thirty years later, the before-and-after of August 31st 1997 still holds. That kind of line in history is rare. She earned it not by being royal, but by being real in a way the institution around her never was.
