NEW – The Worst Time to Check Your Investments Is Right Now

Financial panic investing has a trigger and right now you’re surrounded by them. The gas price on the sign jumped overnight. The news is about oil and conflict and markets. Everything on your screen is red. And somewhere in the back of your head a voice is telling you to do something about it.

Think about how it feels to have built a careful plan and then watch the world make it feel irrelevant. The research on this is specific and the pattern is the same every time: markets go up, people buy at the peak. Markets crash,
people sell at the bottom. Both moves feel like the right call in the moment. Neither one is.

The studies say inaction is often the best action. Your heart rate is a better signal than the market color on your screen. If your circumstances actually changed, adjust carefully and set a reminder to restore what you changed. If they didn’t, the plan is still the plan.
