NEW – Monday Study: The Price of Everything Going Up, Including War

Iran conflict costs are landing on a Saskatchewan farm before the planting season even starts. Trump said he’ll keep bombing for fun. The markets moved when he hinted at negotiations. The diesel bill didn’t.

What It Costs When the World Stays Unstable

Across the farm, this is the highest fuel and fertilizer on record, set against low commodity prices. A third of the fuel is stored. Two thirds still to buy at whatever the market decides by seeding time. A 20 to 25 percent increase goes directly into already tight margins.

An Hour Away When You Call 911

Three federal by-elections land on April 13th, with the Liberals expecting to hold most of what they have. Behind that is a rural RCMP detachment that should have three to five officers and cannot fill the positions. When someone calls 911, the backup could be more than an hour away.

Topics: Iran conflict Canada, Trump bombing language, prairie farm diesel costs, canola tariffs, RCMP staffing shortage, Canadian by-elections

GUEST: Lesley Kelly | highheelsandcanolafields.com and Jimmy Zoubris
