The $500,000 Movie That Made $15 Million + 2 Vince Vaughns

Movie theater comeback stories do not usually start with a $500,000 Canadian horror film made by people nobody has heard of yet. This one does, and Richard Crouse hosted the premiere.

The Theaters Were Not the Problem
Undertone cost $500,000 and has passed $15 million at the box office in two weeks. That is 30 times its budget, no recognizable actors, and a premise built around what you hear rather than what you see. Box office is up 25 percent this year over last. Ryan Gosling says it is not the audience’s job to keep theaters open. Celine Dion is returning to Paris for full concerts in September and October, her first since 2020.

Two Vince Vaughns and a Cannibal Assassin Walk Into a Time Machine
Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice is on Disney Plus and Richard Crouse calls it Vince Vaughn’s return to the swagger and comic timing that made him a star. Time travel means you get two of him. There is also a rival hitman, a woman they are both seeing, and an assassin who eats his victims. Richard pairs it with three drinks all associated with Vaughn himself.
