Good News Tuesday takes an ordinary outing on the water and adds a million-dollar fish. If your idea of a successful fishing trip is simply catching something, this Australian story gives you a much bigger result to imagine.
Naturally, the next question is what a Canadian version might involve. An increasingly ridiculous wildlife contest takes shape, followed by a movie comparison that makes the proposed television show sound considerably less relaxing than fishing with your brother.
There’s room for smaller celebrations too: visitors coming to stay, finishing touches on a fireplace and a LEGO build that tests the hobby budget. A major gift to Ottawa’s new hospital campus rounds things out. What counts as good news today depends on whose day you’re making.
