Vancouver Canucks are the worst team in the NHL and Bob Addison sent notes about celebrity sandwich marketing. The notes were not consulted. The conversation went to egg salad smelling bad, old men at assisted living stealing chocolate chip cookies in bulk, a goalie injury announcement from a team eliminated twenty points out of the playoffs, and the draft lottery math for a team that historically does not win these things.
The segment was supposed to be about Subway hiring celebrities and Ryan Reynolds signing his name on a Tim Hortons donut box. The actual question buried in there is whether celebrity marketing makes the product better or just more expensive while someone pockets a million dollars. Bob Addison has opinions. They were not fully delivered because the Canucks got in the way.
Gavin McKenna is the player everyone wants from the draft. The Canucks have a 25 percent shot at first overall as last place. The lowest they can fall is third. Bob Addison does not think they will get first. The math disagrees but the Canucks have a history of disagreeing with math that favours them.
