The Drama movie review comes with one warning from Richard Crouse: do not Google the twist before you watch. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson play a couple in the week before their wedding. They invite another couple over. Someone suggests the worst thing you have ever done game. Three answers are manageable. Zendaya’s is not.
What does it feel like to sit in a rom-com that suddenly stops being one? Richard Crouse calls it an uncomfortable rom-com, an uncom, and says Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are so good together before the revelation that you genuinely believe in them as a couple. That is what makes the shift land as hard as it does. Unlike every other rom-com, you do not know how this one ends. That alone is worth the ticket.
The cocktails are wedding themed. Mint to Be Mojito. Mai Tai the Knot. Bloody Mary Me, made half and half like Harry’s New York Bar in Paris has been doing it since F Scott Fitzgerald walked in hungover. Wedding Bellini to close. Richard Crouse has a recipe for all of them and a warning to pour the Prosecco slowly.
