The whiteboard next to Antonietta Nobile’s desk in a hospital’s heart investigative unit had exactly one job: track the date and which doctor a patient was seeing that day. She started using the empty space for something the schedule never accounted for, and patients noticed immediately.
By the time she left that role, she’d written and photographed roughly fifty of these notes, keeping them for herself with no plan beyond that. A gentle, repeated question from her psychotherapist is the reason those notes exist as a published book today.
Antonietta is now working on a second project, pulled from reflections posted to TikTok and YouTube, including a line from her most recent post about what it actually takes to keep going on the hardest days.
