Good News Tuesday shouldn’t require defending your taste in eggnog. Yet here we are: one person’s seasonal abomination is another person’s next purchase. If you’ve ever felt unreasonably protective of a perfectly good drink, there’s an argument here with your name on it.
A mountain drive offers something harder to disagree about. The coffee spill is unfortunate; the unexpected lake is spectacular. But describing paradise to someone who once owned a piece of it brings a different feeling into the room.
And what if good news doesn’t mean everything worked out? Sometimes it’s discovering you’re not the only person bothered enough to act. There’s space for that kind of victory, too, especially when your own day hasn’t given you much to celebrate.
